Work
I have worked steady since graduating from high school. I have had three different careers with all of them connected to media and marketing.
RADIO
My Broadcasting career began in 1978 in my hometown of Kelowna, British Columbia. I worked at two radio stations there and then moved to Penticton, BC in 1981. In Penticton I worked at three radio stations there and moved to Princeton, BC in 1986. My radio job in Princeton was as the Assistant Manager of the locally-owned radio station until it closed in 1999. One of my regular assignments in Princeton was to attend and report on Town Council and School Board meetings.
NEWSPAPER
My Print Media career began in 2000 when I was hired as Advertising Sales Manager for the locally-owned Similkameen News Leader. The weekly paper was based in Princeton, BC. I bought the business in 2004 and operated it as Owner/Publisher until we closed it in 2016. I attended and reported on many Town Council and School Board meetings during my time as an employee and employer at this paper.
GHOSTWRITER
I launched a home-based freelance writing business in 2014. In the following year I had several established clients I provided web content for in Canada, the United States and Australia. I switched to full-time ghostwriting after the closure of the newspaper and continue to write for several clients in over 40 different countries worldwide. I will continue to attend Princeton Town Council meetings leading up to the October 2018 Municipal Elections.
